How can I fix color tone in my photos after adjusting the white balance?
I shoot a lot of photos of musicians on stage, and the lighting usually carries a heavy yellow tone. Whether I try to adjust for this with a custom white balance while shooting, or adjust the white balance afterward in Lightroom, the photos seem to lose some of their color intensity and I'm not sure what to do to clean up dull & muddy tones. This is also sometimes exacerbated by the fact that I have to desaturate red or magenta tones due to red stage lighting.
Examples:
Are the saturation & vibrance sliders in Lightroom my best bet for compensating for this effect, or are there other tricks I can try?
I have both Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5, although I prefer to stick with Lightroom as much as possible for my workflow.
